Archived Policy
Innovations in Agricultural and Environmental Science (IAES) is committed to the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of its published content. The journal implements a comprehensive archiving policy to ensure that scholarly material remains available to the academic community, researchers, and the public, regardless of any unforeseen circumstances that may affect journal operations.
1. Digital Archiving
All articles published in IAES are digitally archived using reliable and widely recognized archiving systems. The journal partners with the following services to maintain permanent access:
-
LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe): Ensures that multiple copies of content are preserved across a distributed network of libraries.
-
CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS): Provides a secure and decentralized archiving system with a focus on long-term preservation.
-
PKP Preservation Network (PN): Offers preservation support for journals using Open Journal Systems (OJS).
2. Institutional Repositories
Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit both pre-publication and post-publication versions of their manuscripts in their institutional repositories, subject to journal citation requirements. This supports open access and wider dissemination of research.
3. Self-Archiving Policy
IAES allows authors to archive the following versions of their article:
-
Submitted version (pre-print): Without embargo.
-
Accepted version (post-peer review, before copyediting): Without embargo.
-
Published version (publisher’s PDF): May be archived immediately with proper citation and DOI link.
Authors should include the full citation of the journal article and a link to the official version on the journal website.
4. Preservation of Metadata
The journal ensures that complete metadata for each article—including author details, abstracts, keywords, DOIs, and references—is preserved in multiple formats and remains accessible through indexing services and citation databases.
5. Discontinued Journal Policy
In the unlikely event that IAES ceases publication, all archived content will remain permanently accessible via the archiving partners mentioned above, and through the journal’s last maintained website.
